I did Kevin Smith's Vulgarthon again on Wednesday. It was fantastic! We got to see two movies that aren't even out yet. The first was a movie that Kevin co-starred in with Timothy Olyphant (Deadwood) and Jennifer Garner called "Catch and Release". It's about a woman (Garner) whose fiance dies and she is comforted by his friends before learning the truth about him.

The movie was really good. Garner was radiant, as always. Kevin stole all the scenes he was in, as you can well imagine. He plays a sort-of hippie whose day job is as the editor of the Celestial Seasonings quotes. You know, the wise little sayings you get on the side of your Red Zinger? That would be him.

"Catch and Release" comes out in January, according to its director, the writer of  "Erin Brockovich", Susannah Grant.

The other movie was "Clerks II". I was really looking forward to this and I wasn't disappointed. In fact, it's in many ways a more mature film than his first. I won't spoil anything, but I will say that it's a film about growing up. What a great bookend for the series.

It comes out July 21st. I'll be there (again). Now, I'm going to listen to its end theme again.
